The New Aston Martin V8 Vantage
17th August 2004
|
Correction (11th April 2005)
We at DC Design
would like to issue a clarification on some news stories
which have carried information about the new Aston Martin,
the AMV8 Vantage.
We would like to
categorically state that all technical design and styling
inputs for the car came from Aston Martin in UK, with our
scope limited to building the prototype only. The intellectual
property rights to the product lie wholly with Aston Martin
UK.
The car was designed
by Aston Martin's design team led by Henrik Fisker and engineered
by Aston Martin.
This release is
being made to clear the ambiguity in some coverage where
the credit for designing the car has been given to DC Design.

"Cars like Aston Martin's are all about the pleasure that
comes from the smugness of knowing (and people knowing)
what you have under your bonnet. Exotic cars are all about
irrationality. The more irrational they are, the more attractive
and desirable they become. You can’t drive some of these
cars to work everyday, but at the same time, the knowledge
that you have an irrational car sitting in your garage gives
you a high that’s difficult to match.”
“Ever since I first saw an Aston Martin,
I wanted one. The subtle aggression, the flowing lines,
the British elegance and its history make this car a very
desirable package.”
