The Hollywood Reporter, rivalled in the movie trade only by Variety, has run a similar news piece about MGM extending Irish DreamTime`s contract for another 3 years – and an MGM denial about Brosnan being axed as 007.

“Upcoming projects for the company include `The Thomas Crown Affair 2` and `Mexicali`, both with Brosnan set to star. The company is prepping `The Matador` in Mexico for Stratus Film Co., and its `Laws of Attraction`, starring Brosnan and Julianne Moore, is set for release April 30 via New Line Cinema.”

“The announcement of the deal renewal comes as rumors continue to swirl regarding Brosnan`s involvement in the next Bond installment. Various news outlets have reported that Brosnan will not reprise his role as James Bond in the next film, but an MGM spokesperson denied that. Production on the next Bond installment is likely to begin next year.”
