Pierce Brosnan discusses the Bond 21 situation on US TV – `a certain kind of paralysis has set in`

Casino Royale14-03-04
Pierce Brosnan has spoken about the current Bond 21 situation on US television today. Appearing on the “Sunday Morning Shootout” programme on AMC (a channel owned by Bond movie studio MGM), he commented on the situation as it stands today. Will he back back as 007 for a fifth time?

“I don`t know. It`s a very, err, we`re in a very opaque land at the moment.”

“I`m certainly willing to come back for a fifth and final one, but, I think the producers… a certain kind of paralysis has set in, and, er, they don`t know where to go, how to go with this one.”

“So, if it happens, great. If it doesn`t, I`ve done my four, the contract was for four.”

On the issue of the script: “There is no script.”

Writers Neal Purvis and Wade revealed last weekend that they started the Bond 21 script three weeks ago.
