It has long been rumoured that Christopher Nolan has met with James Bond producers about the prospect of one day directing a 007 adventure. In the latest issue of Playboy magazine, Nolan confirms the whispers.
“A Bond movie, definitely. I’ve spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson over the years. I deeply love the character, and I’m always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You’d have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they’re getting along very well.”
That means that Nolan would probably only consider the job if he was bringing in a new actor in the lead role, or when Broccoli & Wilson decide to hand the reigns to the next in line.
