Vue cinemas to screen 'Skyfall' this year

The private equity-backed cinema chain Vue announced that profits for 2011 were less than prior years but that 2012 was shaping up to be a big year.

The chain, 71 cinemas across Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales announced recently that it had secured rights to screen some big franchises latest releases throughout 2012, including the forthcoming 23rd James Bond adventure.

Explains the cinema's annual report: "2012 is shaping up to be another good year with a number of proven successful franchise titles on the slate. 2D releases include (James) Bond 23, Skyfall, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn � Part 2."
