Nintendo Wii U confirmed for 007 Legends videogame

It was long rumoured, and often leaked by online games retailers, but Activision today officially confirmed that the upcoming James Bond videogame "007 Legends" will be a launch title for the new Nintendo Wii U console.

The game was originally announced as a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title. There have also been rumours of a PC version.

The Wii U is the the successor to the Wii. The system was first unveiled during Nintendo's press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 on June 7, 2011, and is scheduled for released on November 18, 2012 in North America, November 30, 2012 in Europe and Australia, and December 8, 2012 in Japan. Nintendo stated that the Wii U supports 1080p graphics. The Wii U features a new controller, called the Wii U GamePad, with an embedded touchscreen. The controller allows a player to continue playing games by displaying the game even when the television is off. At the E3 2012 expo, a second controller, called the Pro Controller, was unveiled, which is a more traditional gamepad. It features two analog sticks.

Activision's announced Wii U line-up also includes Transformers Prime, Skylanders Giants and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
