'Skyfall' shortlisted for Producers Guild of America Award

Skyfall - 03-01-13
Sam Mendes' 007 adventure, "Skyfall" has become the first Bond film to make the shortlist for a Producers Guild of America Award.

Bond joins the likes of "Les Miserables" and "Lincoln" amongst those on the top 10 and, as the BBC notes, historically the winners of the PGA awards of past have a correlation with Best Picture Oscar winners.

Some surprises that were not on this year's shortlist include Bond's box-office rivals: "The Hobbit" and "The Dark Knight Rises".

Awards will be made by the PGA at an LA ceremony on 26th January.
