There's no shame in being a Bond girl, says Gemma Arterton |

The doomed lover, and Bolivian station agent, Strawberry Fields is played by British actress Gemma Arterton in 2008's "Quantum of Solace".It's a role that Arterton tells the Guardian she can look back fondly on. "I don't have any shame in that one. That was really a good experience for me. Sometimes, me and my agent have chats and I go: "God, I wish I hadn't done so-and-so film" and she says: "Don't say that because it's all part and parcel of where you are now." It's true I can't really say that because, who knows, maybe I wouldn't have been able to do Byzantium without that profile kick."
"Quantum" undoubtedly opened doors for the young actress, and since her appearance in "Quantum" Arterton has co-stared in Richard Curtis comedy, "The Boat That Rocked", action adventure "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time", and quirky comic-drama, "Tamara Drewe".
Of the actresses she admires, Arterton says, "I think Emily Watson is wonderful, and someone like Rachel Weisz has done a thing that I'd like to do, playing around with genres and theatre. Everyone always talks about film, but theatre's equally important to me."
