Unique 'Thunderball' prop watch sells for �104,000 at auction

A one of a kind James Bond watch has sold at auction house Christies for a staggering sum.

The unique Breitling Top Time watch, worn on screen by actor Sean Connery during 1965's adventure "Thunderball" to find stolen atomic bombs, was estimated to sell for between �40,000 and �60,000.

When the hammer came down at the Pop Culture auction on Wednesday after being bought, strapless, at car boot sale for just �25, the final sale price was an amazing �104,000 ($160,000).

The buyer remains anonymous.

Elsewhere at the auction, a copy of Kevin McClory's unfilmed rogue 1976 James Bond production "Warhead" sold for just �2,000.
