Original 'Goldfinger' poster sells for 2,000 pounds at auction

Collecting - 03-04-14
Anderson and Garland in Newcastle recently auctioned off an original "Goldfinger" quad poster, amongst a number of other classic film posters, and the prized collection made four figures for its owner.

Peter Douglas, the owner of the posters, began collecting when he was a projectionist at Classic Cinema in Low Fell, Gateshead, the Journal explains.

The 1964 "Goldfinger" quad was the highest selling item in the collection, scraping an impressive 2,000.

The owner remarked: "I wish Id paid more interest to the posters the room at The Classic was full of them. I didnt realise they had any value until a few years ago."

The total collection fetched 3,130 at auction earlier this week.
