Chiwetel Ejiofor will not comment on Bond 24 villain rumours

Spectre (2015) - 12-04-14
When a credible report in trade paper Variety named Chiwetel Ejiofor the leading candidate for the villain role in Bond 24 last week, the news spread like wildfire. Mr Ejiofor could not have escaped to notice.

Speaking to The Independent about his work on '12 Years a Slave' yesterday, the British actor is suddenly very coy about the possibility:

He steadfastly refuses to talk about the Bond rumours too, though he is so very adamant about not discussing it, that it seems there must be something not to discuss. "I dont want to talk about that." Does he have a favourite Bond villain? "I cant talk about that." Thats not a denial then? A stern gaze.

Previously, actors and actresses who have talked publicly about a Bond role before filming commenced have seen their opportunities disappear quickly.
