Rory Kinnear wins at Olivier Awards

Actor News - 13-04-14
The British actor playing James Bond's best friend in the service and chief of staff to "M", Rory Kinnear, earned himself a Olivier award at this year's ceremony.

Kinnear won Best Actor for his role in the National Theatre production of "Othello". Kinnear plays Iago opposite Adrian Lester's Othello. The production is directed by Nicholas Hytner, who himself is the outgoing director of the National Theatre.

"Iago has a great rapport with the audience. People love the villain," Kinnear told the BBC. Of the show as a whole, the actor said this was "the most thrilling professional experience of my life" and was rather complementary of his co-star, Adrian Lester, best known for his role in TV's "Hustle".

Kinnear previously won an Olivier in 2008.
