Pierce Brosnan comments on rumours that link him to the 'Expendables' franchise

Actor News - 04-07-14
Pierce Brosnan, former 007 actor and about to be back in the spy genre with "November Man" coming later this year, has commented on some long running rumours that he was going to get cast in "The Expendables" franchise. The third instalment of the all-star ageing action hero flicks is due for release in August.

Brosnan told Coming Soon that he was in contact with the producer and keen if the script was a good one.

"I said to [producer] Avi Lerner, 'If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me.' It's as simple as that really," Brosnan confirmed. "I had a grand time in his company. Sylvester Stallone is the one that's given us these wonderful platforms for actors who have and had careers to go play and have fun and to entertain. To bring a bunch of guys together who saved the world, fought the bad guys, and put them all on the same stage, that's crazy good."

Brosnan previously commented on the rumour in April 2014 when he complained that an innocent dinner table conversation got blown out of proportion on the internet.
