Nintendo 64 titles heading to Wii U virtual console

Gaming - 09-07-14
Nintendo have announced that titles from their back catalog of Nintendo 64 games will be made available soon on the Wii U console.

Using their Wii U Virtual Console, players will be able to download all classics to enjoy again.

Nintendo did a small confirmation via the Virtual Console site, stating "Check back regularly for the latest releases, including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems."

It is yet to be confirmed whether or not the best-selling James Bond videogame 'GoldenEye 007' - first released in 1997 - will be one of the Nintendo 64 titles making it to the Virtual Console.

Given the merry-go-round with the 007 videogame rights in recent years, it's probably safe to assume that 'GoldenEye 007' emerging from the dusty archives of Nintendo is a long shot.
