Bond bench from 'Books About Town' to be auctioned next month

Event - 18-09-14
As MI6 previously reported, the National Literacy Trust arranged the Books About Town project featuring 50 unique benches shaped like open books dotted around London. One of which was a James Bond inspired bench, designed by Freyja Dean, and found in Bloomsbury Square Gardens, in the heart of literary London.

The bench has now retired from its place in Bloomsbury but will be sold at public auction on 7 October 2014 at an exclusive event at the Southbank Centre. Tickets can be bought from the Southbank Centre box office.

Proceeds will go to the National Literacy Trust, a charity dedicated to raising the literacy levels of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Online bids can be placed at booksabouttown.org.uk
