Gemma Arterton now on stage in David Arnold's 'Made In Dagenham'

Event - 10-11-14
Since the London Olympics, David Arnold has traded film and television scoring for the stage. Arnold, five time 007 scorer, is behind the music for the new musical "Made In Dagenham" based on the 2010 film of the same name.

The show, with a book by Richard Bean and lyrics by Richard Thomas, opened at the Adelphi, London WC2 recently and runs until 28 March. "Made In Dagenham" stars stars "Quantum of Solace" Bond girl, Gemma Arterton, whose performance on the stage has been well-received by reviewers.

Arnold told the Sunday Times how he kept tweaking the show, right up until the last minute, but even this is not enough to be perfect. "Usually, when I finish a really big job, I never want to do it again. But this? I'd start on a new show tomorrow," the composer notes.

In the same interview, Arnold listed some of his favourite films which include, "From Russia With Love," and Harry Saltzman's "The IPCRESS File".

More information about the show can be found on its website.
