UK premiere of 'Skyfall' on free to air television scheduled for Christmas

Skyfall - 26-11-14
The first screening of the latest James Bond film 'Skyfall' on free to air television in the UK will take place over the Christmas holiday.

ITV have confirmed that Daniel Craig's blockbusting 2012 outing will be screened during the festive season. It brings back a long British tradition of 007 action on a major national holiday.

"Skyfall is the highest grossing film of all time at the UK box office and proves not only the enduring popularity of the Bond franchise, but also its iconic status," said Angela Jain, ITV's director of digital channels and acquistions.

Exact broadcast times and dates are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that 'Skyfall' will be screened in the evening of Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
