Tabloids link British actor Andrew Scott with Bond 24 role

Spectre (2015) - 03-12-14
British actor Andrew Scott , who is famous for his portrayal of Moriarty in the hit BBC series 'Sherlock', will play a villainous role in Bond 24 according to the Daily Mirror.

The paper claims Scott, 38, will play a bad guy in Daniel Craig's fourth outing as 007.

A 'source' told the tabloid: "Andrew was hand-picked for a role in the new Bond movie after film bosses loved his star turn in Sherlock. Casting directors thought he was perfect to play a baddie and they wanted to use his existing Sherlock profile - and amp it up to the next level. Andrew is hoping the move will see him leap from TV to the big screen, where he can eventually divide his time between London and LA. He knows this is his big break."

The title and principal cast will be revealed on Thursday 4th December at 11:00am GMT.
