Paloma Faith petitions 007 filmmakers for title song gig

Spectre (2015) - 08-03-15
Paloma Faith, the Brit Award-winning pop/jazz singer and songwriter used her twitter account to publicly petition the James Bond filmmakers for the opportunity to sing a Bond theme.

She tweeted last month, addressing her request directly to the official @007 twitter account:

Although SPECTRE's title-song artist is almost certainly selected by now, this is traditionally an announcement made in the run up to the promotion of the movie, not during pre-production. Bond fans can expect to wait a fair few months before hearing the name, let along the sound, of SPECTRE's title-song.

Paloma followed up on her tweet at an event celebrating International Woman's Day, saying: Youre supposed to pretend that youre cool as cucumber and stuff just comes to you, but Im not really that type of person. Ive told everyone that I would like to do it.

Adele won an Academy Award for her recent composition and rendition of "Skyfall". Although mere speculation, it has recently been touted in the media that - as well as the return of Mendes - we might just see a return of the award winning songwriter too.
