'SPECTRE' used new 6K digital cameras by ARRI

Spectre (2015) - 07-07-15
According to a news story in today's Hollywood Reporter, the latest James Bond film was shot with a mix of traditional 35mm film and cutting edge digital.

'Skyfall' was the first all-digital 007 adventure, shot exclusively on ARRI Alexa 2K cameras, and was captured by cinematographer Roger Deakins.

For 'SPECTRE', it was announced that Bond was going back to traditional 35mm under the watchful eye of cinematographer Hoyte van Hotema.

But if today's news is confirmed, select sequences and shots for 'SPECTRE' were also captured with ARRI's brand new Alexa 65 large format 6K cinema camera.

Also filming at Pinewood is 'Star Wars: Rogue One', which confidentially, is also using the Alexa 65. Portions of the new 'Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation' also used the new camera.

Thanks to `Sam` for the alert.
