Continuation author Anthony Horowitz comments on a black Bond

Bond News - 01-09-15
Author Anthony Horowitz, who has penned the new James Bond continuation novel 'Trigger Mortis', was quizzed by the Daily Mail on his opinions of the film franchise. After slamming 'Skyfall', the most successful outing in the series, he was asked about Daniel Craig's ultimate successor.

Horowitz was also unimpressed with the tabloid favourite to take over from Daniel Craig.

"Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better."

He named Adrian Lester, star of Hustle.

"For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. Its not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too street for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah."
