Tony Christie claims he is writing the Casino Royale theme song

Casino Royale - 02-10-05
Crooner Tony Christie is claiming that he is writing the theme song to the next James Bond film, "Casino Royale".

The singer, famous for his recent comeback with "Is This The Way To Amarillo?", told the Belfast Telegraph he is working on the lyrics.

"So I'm watching all the old Bond films," he explains. "My writing partner Peter Callendar and I are getting in the mood for the kind of big ballad that will stir the audience before the action starts."

MI6 reported on Christie back in May when tabloids were making claims on his Bond potential.
