Purvis & Wade begin work on script for Bond 22 already - Daniel Craig`s second 007 film

No sooner has Daniel Craig been named as the sixth actor to play James Bond in the 21st 007 film "Casino Royale", than thoughts turn to "Bond 22".

The 22nd film, which will follow on from "Casino Royale", may not hit theatres until late 2008 or 2009, but work has already begun on what will be expected to be Craig's second outing.

Screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who penned the script for "Casino Royale" before handing it over to Paul Hagis for a final polish, started work on the story for "Bond 22" this week once Daniel Craig had been signed by producers.

Purvis & Wade started their James Bond careers by writing the story for "The World Is Not Enough" (1999) and then working solely on the script for "Die Another Day" (2002).
