Audi TT spotted with 007 licence plates for new TV commercial |

MI6 exclusively reported back in January that Jaguar may be supplying 007's car in the 22nd James Bond film due out in November 2008.
But Germancarblog report on a remote possibility that another car company may be in the mix too.
According to the piece, "the other day I saw something that caught my eye the new Audi TT a car Ive followed eagerly in the press. But seeing it in the flesh was much more impressive. I noticed its number plates 007 and I got talking to the driver. He told me that he was looking after the car ahead of filming an Audi commercial the following day."
This probably does not indicate that Audi will feature in Bond 22, especially as Ford (who own Jaguar) still have the licence to supply cars for the film.
But Audi may be in trouble if their use of 007 moniker is unauthorised. Back in 2005, French car manufacturer Peugeot were slapped for branding their latest model the "1007". Their marketing could not refer to the car as the "one-007" for legal reasons, and the pitch had to be changed to "one thousand and seven" instead.
