Bond News - 28-03-07
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II hosted a reception for famous Americans at Buckingham Palace on Monday 26th March 2007.

The Queen invited 400 guests to the private party which was organised in anticipation for her US tour in just over a month.

Those present included comedienne Ruby Wax, model and the former wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall and James Bond film producer Barbara Broccoli. Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, are set to visit the US in May to mark the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown Settlement.

Plans for the tour were announced in November last year. An official statement from the US White House read: 'The United States and the United Kingdom enjoy an extraordinary friendship that is sustained by deep historical and cultural ties and a commitment to defend freedom around the world. We look forward to Her Majesty's State Visit as an occasion to celebrate these enduring bonds.' Elizabeth, 80, said she was 'looking forward' to the visit.
