`From Russia With Love` manuscript sells for $75,000 at auction

A manuscript from James Bond movie From Russia with Love, signed by author Ian Fleming, was snapped up for �37,843 ($75,000) at last week's Profiles In History auction in Hollywood.

The manuscript notebook, autographed by Fleming, featured seven lined pages with numerous revisions regarding the making of the movie. The expected sale price was $40,000 � $60,000.

Profiles in History president Joseph Maddelena said: "This auction was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire some of the most important visual effects pieces ever created for modern cinema.

"Each of the pieces pushed the boundaries of film technology to new heights while simultaneously bringing new and exciting characters to life on the silver screen.
