Amy Winehouse`s ex-husband blames her for wrecking Bond theme

Bond News - 27-07-09
Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Black Fielder-Civil has blamed the troubled singer's excessive drink and drug-taking for wrecking her chance to record the latest James Bond theme tune - insisting she "messed it all up", reports Contact Music.

The Back to Black hitmaker teamed up with superproducer Mark Ronson to record a track for last year's "Quantum of Solace".

But the collaboration was dropped, with Ronson insisting the singer was not ready to get back to work in the studio.

Bond bosses were forced to scrap plans to feature Winehouse - opting instead for a duet with Jack White and Alicia Keys.

And Fielder-Civil reveals a massive drink and drugs binge ruined the star's chances of recording the coveted song.

He says, "It just turned into an excuse for a wild drink and drugs party. She wasn't concentrating on work.

"She told me she was writing a song about me and her, and our relationship. How cool is that? To think, in 30 or 40 years people would be watching this film and still hearing the song about us. That was really amazing. But she messed it all up."

Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were granted a divorce earlier this month after two years of marriage.
