Jeffery Deaver expected to complete 'Project X' manuscript soon

Literary - 31-10-10
The official 'Project X' website has been updated this week to announce that continuation author Jeffery Deaver is expected to complete the first draft manuscript soon.

In typical corn-ball style, the statement reads:

Rumours are circulating that Mr Deaver has nearly finished writing Project X, and that the papers will soon be delivered to a top-secret location. This is causing huge excitement in the Hodder and Ian Fleming offices and we cant wait to read it. Although, like you, were going to have to wait until May next year to discover James Bonds latest adventure.

One assumes the 'top-secret location' would be his editor's office at the publishers.

Deaver is the latest, but most accomplished thriller writer, to take on the challenge of continuing Ian Fleming's literary legacy. 'Project X' (working title) will be set in the modern day with Bond 'rebooted' with a new contemporary backstory and will be published on or around May 28th, 2011.
