Sir Roger Moore celebrates his 76th birthday today

Actor News - 14-10-03
Sir Roger Moore, the third James Bond, celebrates his 76th birthday today.

Despite taking over the 007 role eleven years after Sean Connery debuted, the veteran English actor is the oldest of all the Bonds.

Sir Roger received an early birthday present this year in the form of a knighthood from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham palace last Thursday.

His acting career, which has spanned almost sixty years, shows no sign of stopping yet. He will next play Captain Walton in "Victor", a film where Dr. Victor Frankenstein arrives on the island of Norsay, unaware that he is being followed.

He received the script for "Semper Octulus" this week, a female Bond style spin-off movie based around MI6. Sir Roger is lined up to play "C", the head of the British Secret Intelligence Service.
