Solve clues and win 'Carte Blanche' prizes - first clue online

Calling all budding spies - ahead of the launch of 007's latest literary adventure 'Carte Blanche' Hodder & Stoughton have launched a kind of internet treasure hunt that could lead you to a meeting with the author, Jeffery Deaver, himself.

MI6 readers have the chance to participate ahead of schedule. Below are the prizes on offer and the rules of the game. Happy hunting:

The idea is to solve the cryptic clues, complete the 007 Carte Blanche missions to put yourself in with a chance of competing in the final secret mission, which will only be revealed towards the end of the month.

First Prize:

The first prize is a signed copy of Carte Blanche to read ahead of publication. The winner will also have the opportunity to meet Jeffery Deaver, author of the Carte Blanche James Bond novel on 26th May 2011. The winner (with plus one) is invited to spend one night in a deluxe double room (for two people sharing) at the exclusive The Lanesborough, a 5* St Regis Hotel in London, on the night of 25th May 2011. Breakfast will be included. Unfortunately, the first prize doesn�t include any expenses arising in relation to the prize.

Runner Up prizes:

There are 10 runner up prizes which are one ticket each to the Times+ Meet The Author! event, which will be held at 7:30pm on the 26th May at the Congress Centre, Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3LS

AS PART OF THE COMPETITION, ENTRANTS SHOULD COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

1. Solve the daily cryptic clues on the 007 Carte Blanche Facebook page
2. Complete at least eight of the twelve 007 Carte Blanche missions.
3. Send answers to cryptic clues and 007 Carte Blanche mission photos to [email protected]

* Photos sent to the [email protected] email address must be sent as an attachment. Your email subject lines must include the following:

1. Your full name
2. The �LDN Cryptic mission photos� tag

Please include your home address and mobile photo number within your email.
