More rumours that Ben Whishaw is playing Q

Skyfall - 25-11-11
When his name was first linked to the 23rd James Bond film, many fans and blogs speculated that English actor Ben Wishaw would be perfect to play a younger 'Q'.

With "Skyfall" (AKA Bond 23) now in production, and Wishaw confirmed to be in the cast, red-top rag The Sun is now claiming that is exactly the role he'll play as he introduces himself as 'Quartermaster'.

The paper reports: "Handsome Ben will be the youngest actor to play the MI6 gadget master and at 31 is 12 years younger than 007 star Daniel Craig."

As usual, the paper had a convenient and anonymous 'source' to flesh out the column: "Female fans will have more than Daniel to gush over now Ben's been cast as Q. He'll be a big draw. It's a bold decision as it means Q will be younger than Bond for the first time. His role will be very different from previous Qs. He'll be far more serious, as is the trend with the new films."

Earlier in the week, Noel Gallagher exposed a Sun story about him being linked to the "Skyfall" theme song as total lies, with a fabricated 'source'.

Thanks to `Billy` for the alert.
