Aston Martin will soon be unveiling a new car at the Detroit Motor Show 2003 that is likely to join 007 in Bond 21...

New Aston Martin Planned For 2004
4th January 2003

Codename AM305

Aston Martin made a proud comeback in "Die Another Day" with the V12 Vanquish. But what is next for 007 as we look ahead to Bond 21?

Aston Martin revealed an "entry level" sports car in 2002 to be released in 2004. The car was codenamed the AM305 (a prototype car is pictured opposite) and was styled by Henrik Fisker - the new chief designer at Aston Martin.

The AM305 sports classic lines and a 4.0 litre V8 engine that outputs 360bhp with rear-wheel drive. With an aluminium body, 2 seats, and a choice of either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, the AM305 is likely to be priced at around £65,000 in the competitive market which features cars such as the Porsche 911 and Ferrari 360 Modena.

The AM305 shares a lot of components with it's more expensive cousin - the DB7. The Vanquish, which featured in "Die Another Day", will remain the flagship top-of-the-line car.

The best news is that Aston Martin are rebadging the AM305 to a new name on January 8th at the Detroit Motor Show 2003.

Aston Martin have a 3 film deal with EON Productions, and MI6 News covered their wish for Bond to be seen in an entry level car shortly before "Die Another Day" hit screens.

MI6 will have more news on the latest Aston Martin Car next week.
