SPECTRE filming took place today near the Museo Della Civilta Romana (Museum of Roman Civilization). The location was a late substitute for the city's Verano cemetery after a religious order called the Archconfraternity of the Departed vetoed use of it. Conveniently, the museum is temporarily closed in preparation for the redevelopment work of the building to bring it in to compliance with regulations.
That did not stop paparazzi from snapping Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci film a funeral scene for the 24th James Bond film, who camped out nearby Piazza Giovanni Agnelli with long lenses at the ready. The crew had assembled a make-shift mausoleum between the columns with fake headstones the day before shooting, to convert the location in to a cemetery.
