Principal cast members spoke to Moviefone on the set in the Bahamas about their roles in the forthcoming film "Casino Royale", including new James Bond 007 Daniel Craig, and the latest Bond girls Eva Green (Vesper Lynd) and Caterina Murino (Solange). Click here to view the video.

Daniel Craig on the subject of Bond's character in the film: "Casino Royale, being the first of the books, he's got rough edges - that's for sure. And as the film progresses, we see him become the man that we know, love, and hate.

Because we're starting at the beginning, we're given a bit more sway with it. We can tell the story from the beginning, and we can try to understand the man who is James Bond. He falls in love, and other things happen along the way. We find someone who gets kinda hurt."

New Bond girls Eva Green and Caterina Murino were asked what they thought Craig would bring to the role. "I think he will bring his own talent, and he's a very rare actor, very special", said Green.

"You will see a great Bond. He's giving to Bond... something else, a different "colour" that we've never seen before. He's not only a lover, and elegant, and smiling, he can be very rude. He can be a very bad man", added Murino.

How do the cast feel about shooting on location in the Bahamas? Green was enthusiastic, "Shooting in the Bahamas... The sea is beautiful, the weather's very warm. Then we're going to Prague - it's so romantic, and then Venice. It's great. I'm spoiled." Murino was also happy, "I'm very lucky already because I was cast as Solange, and also because I'm here in the Bahamas. I think it's the best location to have Bond in this film."

Craig explained how the location will fit in to the film, "The Bahamas - it's about waking up to the sun and the sea. I've done some scenes with Judi Dench which have been fantastic. For this section of the film we're using the Bahamas for Madagascar, it's a big piece at the beginning of the movie.
