This November, Rittenhouse launched their new "Quotable James Bond" trading card range. Like past card ranges, it is made up of several subsets - of which two are exclusive to the UK and USA.

The base set cards are double sided and are printed on high quality glossy card. The featured images are all monochrome and of excellent quality.

The cards feel worth the price, and it is nice to see Rittenhouse have not cut costs with the base set by producing a lower quality for the most commonly issued cards. Each card has two quotes from the twenty film series, hence the title for the range.

Star Signings
Included in the sets are genuine autograph cards from a wide range of Bond stars from Roger Moore to the lesser known cast members. Each of these cards is matte in finish on the autograph side with a small colour photo in the iris of the gun barrel showing the star in character. The reverse is gloss and gives you the star's character name and film title.

The exclusive US "Bond Girls are Forever" (example below) set uses the established font from last year's disappointing book of the same title. As with the autograph cards, one side is matte and the other gloss. The matte finish on this sub set creates a change to the glossy finish of the base set. The reverse gives character and actress names, with an alternative image and film title.

The villain's cards use a similar font and layout to the "Vixens". The matte image is of high quality and the opposite side gives a different character image, actor, character name and film title.

Song cards use images from the opening credits of all 20 films where one side has chromed text and the other a dull grey. These double-sided cards are finished in gloss with alternative quotable song lyrics on each side.

Another set of autograph cards is available within the master set "Woman of James Bond" featuring a host of past female beauties. The matte side sports the autograph in a small rhombus shaped image of the star and autograph, and the gloss side gives the standard details established in other subsets.

There are several other subsets with the master set. "Vintage Bond" is a group of five cards depicting the five faces on James Bond. Other single cards, which are exclusives and chasers, can be seen in the checklist below.

Summary
Rittenhouse have produced high quality cards with a new spin, but it would have been a real treat if some of the cards had previously unreleased images from the films or behind the scenes stills.

Completing a full set of this new range of cards will be a challenge for any Bond fan.
