A new arrangement of the famous James
Bond Theme was performed and recorded for HRH Queen Elizabeth
II's diamond jubilee
celebrations. Arranged by long-time 007 composer David
Arnold and conducted by Nicholas Dodd, the London Philharmonic
Orchestra performed the 50 year-old theme for the Thames
flotilla.
The arrangement was played when the Royal
barge passed real-life SIS headquarters in Vauxhall.
David Arnold has composed the score to
five James Bond films, from "Tomorrow Never Dies" to "Quantum
of Solace". For the upcoming adventure "Skyfall",
Thomas Newman takes over the musical duties. Arnold has
said that he will still be involved in Bond music projects
this year, and this track is the first of those works. |
