On Saturday December 14th, 2013 Club James Bond France's yearly event will be held in Château Drax itself. The Vaux-Le-Vicomte castle will be the site of celebration of the 35th anniversary of the start of principal photography on Moonraker. Director Lewis Gilbert filmed the movie almost exclusively in France and every Parisian studio was booked and used to house Eon's huge production.
In attendance at the event will be a host of Drax girls, all converging of Vaux-Le-Vicomte. The current line up includes: Corinne Cléry (Corinne Dufour), Blanche Ravalec (Dolly) and also Irka Bochencko, Chichinou Kaepler*, Béatrice Libert, Anne Lonnberg, Catherine Serre, Françoise Gayat*, Nicaise Jean-Louis and Diane Thierry-Mieg.
(* to be confirmed)
The day's programme proceeds as follows: a visit of the Castle and surrounding Moonraker locations, signing session, photo session, panel interviews with the Drax girls. A video report of the event will be shot. All in all a day about which Sir Hugo Drax himself would be proud.
These events are normally for club members only. However some extra tickets have been kept aside for international attendees and can be obtained on a first come, first served basis by writing to club president Luc Le Clech at [email protected].
