Born in 1985 in Paris, France, Léa Seydoux joins a long line of French Bond girls with her casting in SPECTRE. She first came to the attention of Bond aficionados in August 2014 when the British tabloids reported rumours that she was under consideration for the then-untitled 24th Bond instalment. By October, the news of her casting had leaked to the presses, beating out British actress Jane Froggatt among others. She was welcomed on to stage by Sam Mendes on December 4th 2014 when he confirmed the film's title and principal cast. Her resumé includes "The Beautiful Person" (2008), "Inglourious Basterds" (2009), the award-winning "Blue Is the Warmest Colour" (2013) and Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" (2011).
