Variety,
a very reliable source of Bond news, today named Bruce Feirstein
as the writer of Bond`s next gaming adventure:
Bruce Feirstein,
who helped pen three James Bond pictures for MGM, is about
to send 007 on another mission, with the secret agent once
again using gadgets and his Aston Martin to battle baddies.
But this time, it won't be for a movie. It'll be for a videogame.
Following the enormous success of the NightFire, one of
many movie franchise games in 2002 which propel Electronic
Arts profits, the games firm has been hiring big names and
plundering top talent from Hollywood.
Details of the successor to "NightFire" are sketchy,
but the official "Die Another Day" Region 1 DVD
site mentions an "exclusive look at new Bond game"
as part of the DVD-ROM special features. Several US gaming
magazines have rumoured the next Bond gaming adventure will
take the form of a third-person perspective romp in the
same style as the popular Tomb Raider series.
