First FRWL Artwork
15th March 2005
As MI6 exclusively revealed in
January, the next James Bond game from EA will be titled "From
Russia With Love" and set around the 1963
film. 007's likeness in
the third person perspective game will be none-other than
the original Bond - Sir Sean Connery.
US magazine Game
Informer this week released the first official artwork
from the forthcoming James Bond videogame "From Russia With
Love" on the cover of their April 2005 issue.
MI6
broke the news to the world back in January that Sean Connery
would be providing his likeness to the role of 007 again
in "From Russia With Love" by EA Games. It is yet to be
officially confirmed, but it is expected that the actor
will also provide his voice talent, as Pierce Brosnan did
for the 2004 game "Everything
or Nothing".
The videogame adaptation of the 1963 movie will expand
on the original storyline and introduce some new characters
and action sequences to the plot.
MI6 can reveal that Hollywood talent is likely to be sought
for the extra characters added to the game, in the same
vein as Shannon Elizabeth, Heidi Klum and Willem Dafoe supplied
their likeness and voices to characters in "Everything or
Nothing".

Some
glimpses of the additional scenes are coming to light. In
a cut sequence expected to preview the game, Sean Connery as James
Bond zooms across the sky in a jetpack in small town set in the
1960s. After landing, Bond jumps into a sports car with a desirable
girl and a car chase-scene ensues. The scene ends as Connery's
driving antics knock down a water tower.
MI6 can reveal that 007 will also be involved in a shoot-out
in central London, near the famous Big Ben clock tower.
Development of the game will take place at EA Redwood
studios (USA) and will ship in late 2005 / early 2006 on Microsoft
Xbox, Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. An official announcement
of the game is expected in March/April 2005.
