British singer songwriter Natasha Bedingfield is about to become the latest James Bond girl - featuring in the forthcoming videogame adaptation of "From Russia With Love" by EA.

The singer may already be familiar to 007 gamers, as Natasha provided the end credits song "If You're Gonna Jump" to "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent", the last EA game utilizing their 007 licence.

Following her UK success with her debut album "Unwritten", Bedingfield is heading to the US for a four week promotional tour.

The album is out in the US today, and she will be making several television appearances and live performances to promote the release.

She will then move to Los Angeles temporarily, and this is when her foray in to the world of 007 begins. Bedingfield will lend her voice and likeness to a new character, and there is word of her performing a song for the game too.

Details on her character in the forthcoming game are unclear, but there is already confirmation that the storyline to the original 1963 movie has been expanded in the beginning to feature 007 rescuing the daughter of the British Prime Minister following her kidnapping at the Houses of Parliament in London.

Sir Sean Connery is providing his voice and likeness for the game, and EA have already gone on record that the title will feature at least three new characters.

Some voice artists have already been confirmed to recreate original characters whose actors have since passed away.

The last James Bond game, "Everything or Nothing" which featured Pierce Brosnan as 007, starred three new Bond girls: Singer Mya Harrison starred as Agent Mya Starling, actress Shannon Elizabeth was the main good girl Serena St. Germaine, and supermodel Heidi Klum played villainess Katya Nadanova. Mya also performed the title song for the game.

Development of "From Russia With Love" will take place at EA Redwood studios (USA) and will ship in October/November 2005 on Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. Versions for Nintendo DS and Sony PSP are yet to be officially confirmed.

Stay tuned to MI6 for the latest unrivalled coverage of "From Russia With Love" (VG) starring Sean Connery as James Bond 007.
