Fleming German Covers

Back in 2008, illustrator Michael Gillette designed 14 covers for Ian Fleming's 007 novels and short story collections. Whilst the cover art has gone in a different direction in English-speaking markets under the stewardship of Vintage and Amazon, Gillette has recently revised some of his work for the German covers. The artworks that got the most substantive revisions are, "Thunderball" - which Gillette explained in an interview he was never fully happy with - and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", which revises the look of Bond's bride-to-be Tracy Di Vicenzo.
