By MI6 Staff
'No Time To Die' has been officially delayed again, this time from November 2020 to April 2nd, 2021. The film is now on its 7th confirmed release date for the USA:
MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April 2021 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year.
The announcement comes after a week of heavy marketing, including multiple 3rd party product promotions, a music video, soundtrack listings, a DHL advertising campaign, and the launch of an official podcast. Although it may have appeared that MGM was spending a lot on marketing, most of the activity on the relaunch has been funded by licensing partnerships. MGM had just approved two new TV spots for broadcast that would have triggered a cash-spend on the film. Furthermore, Monday marks Global James Bond Day and would have attracted bad press to pull the film on or shortly afterward.

March 4th, 2020: Coronavirus becomes a pandemic and MGM and first to move their film away from the reality of closed theatres by pushing the now-completed film to November 25th, 2020 (and two weeks earlier on November 12th for the UK).
June 13th, 2020: After IMDB leak and 'expected' release date change to the film, EON confirms the US release date has changed again, but for the first time it is being brought forward to November 20th, 2020 (the UK stays on track for November 12th). The narrowing of the gap should help fans in the USA avoid the news and reviews coming out of Europe.
