Another 'Skyfall' location recreated at Pinewood

Skyfall - 12-04-12
According to MovieFone, the production design crew for "Skyfall" is creating yet another exotic location on the Pinewood sets.

On their set visits they caught a glimpse of "the abandoned Japanese city, complete with tattered statue of a forgotten hero -- which looks like it weighs a ton misleadingly."

Hashima island is off the coast of Nagasaki, last inhabited in 1974. It is commonly known as the abandoned Japanese island, having been coal mining facility that has since gone out of business. It appears that Bond, or one of his supporting players will be paying a visit to the remote inhabited island.
