Amy Pascal exits Sony Pictures after hacking scandal

Bond News - 05-02-15
Most industry watchers said it was just a matter of time before Amy Pascal had to depart Sony Pictures after she was caught in the cross-hairs of the Guardians of the Peace hacking scandal late last year.

It was announced today that Pascal will be stepping down from her position as co-chairman. She will be transitioning in May to a 'major new production venture at the studio' instead.

Amongst the many embarrassing and damaging things to come out of the hacking scandal was a series of controversial emails from Pascal's mailbox.

Pascal was a key ally of producer Barbara Broccoli when the franchise rebooted with Daniel Craig in 2006's 'Casino Royale'.
