Clive Owen to be officially announced as James Bond next week - more details on the rumours

Casino Royale - 29-03-05
Following it's earlier (brief) claim that Clive Owen was confirmed as the sixth James Bond 007, movie rumour site IESB has released the evidence behind the headline.

One of the site reporters was at the Sin City premiere last night and spoke to Clive Owen. IESB reports, "After a few questions about Sin City and about other upcoming work we asked him about the rumors regarding James Bond. `Yes or no to Bond`. He said this while nodding his head 'yes', "I will be busy for a while" and then a colleague asked again, "any truth to the James Bond rumors?" "I'll be busy for a while," he repeated with a grin and smile.

The report continues, "A few minutes after that quick interview I was approached by a person/colleague that works with Clive and he/she stated that Bond was a done deal and that an official announcement by the trades is being brokered."

One other inside source is telling the site to expect an official announcement next week after the release of Sin City.
