Italian media jump the gun and `officially` name Clive Owen as James Bond #6

The Italian media appear to have jumped the gun and named Clive Owen has the sixth official James Bond 007.

At least two news outlets in Italy are running the story that Owen has beaten off competition from both Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman to become Pierce Brosnan's successor.

One source claims Owen eventually got the greenlight after months of disagreements between the producers and MGM, and will co-star with Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai.

A second report says the news "has finally arrived" that Owen is the new 007.
