Swedish press suggest Ola Rapace has landed a Bond 23 role

Skyfall - 14-09-11
According to the Swedish paper Expressen, actor Ola Rapace has earned himself a role in a blockbuster English-language production.

The paper are confident the role is for the forthcoming 23rd James Bond film and that the actor is turning down further work because of the role. A statement says that he has "a new project in the pipeline that will take all his time and focus".

Neither his agent nor MGM would confirm the rumour, according to the paper.

31 year-old Rapace is best known in Sweden for roles in the popular TV series Tusenbrder and the first season of the Swedish TV series "Wallander". Outside Sweden, his most notable work is in the 2000 Lukas Moodysson film "Together" which won several awards at international film festivals.

Coincidentally, his ex-wife Noomi Rapace is the Swedish actress who played the part of Lisbeth Salander in the Stieg Larsson "Millennium" movies. Daniel Craig is starring in the English-language remake of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".
