'No Time To Die' screening with Robert Wade Q&A; in Kent on 7th June

21-May-2022 • Event

Event: 'No Time To Die' screening with Robert Wade Q&A
Location: Gulbenkian Arts Center, University of Kent, Canterbury, CT2 7NB
Date: Tuesday 7th June 2022
Time: 18:45

Screening preceded by a 45 minute Q&A with the film’s screenwriter Robert Wade. Presented in partnership with the Screenwriting Festival run by Film & Media at Kent and chaired by Dr Lawrence Jackson & Dr Frances Kam

Robert Wade is a screenwriter best known for co-writing four James Bond films with his long-time collaborator Neal Purvis. The pair have had a hand in every instalment since The World Is Not Enough, back when Pierce Brosnan was still rocking the tuxedo. They oversaw the Daniel Craig reboot Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, the death of Judi Dench as M in Skyfall, Spectre and of course, the twists and shocks of No Time to Die.

At this special Q&A screening you’ll have the chance to delve into the tales behind the story, discussing the evolution of the iconic 007 over the last 20 years and how Wade approaches his creative process. Then enjoy the dramatic end to the Daniel Craig era, with a screening of No Time to Die.

In ‘No Time To Die’, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
