Tanya Roberts died at 9pm on Monday 5th January 2021 following incorrect reports of her death on Sunday. The sad news followed 24 hours of premature news of her death and retractions by those close to her.

On Sunday, tragic news broke that actress Tanya Roberts, who played Bond girl Stacey Sutton in had died suddenly in hospital following a fall at the young age of 65.
The statement was given to the press by her partner Lance O'Brien and verified by her rep Mike Pingel. International media covered the story of her death.
Today, her rep rowed back claims she had died. Her partner Lance appeared to receive the news mid-interview as captured by this segment from Inside Edition at around 10 am on Monday.
Not only was a press release circulated about her death, but Lance had begun to call friends and family to inform them of her passing, reports TMZ. Lance admitted to Inside Edition that although Tanya was not suffering from Covid, she was on a ventilator and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles was not accepting visitors. Lance claimed to TMZ today that despite the ban, he was given special permission to visit. "As I held her in her last moments, she opened her eyes," he told the press on Sunday. The original press release also claimed Lance was her husband of 18 years, which has since been rowed back to 'boyfriend' (Tanya's husband of 33 years, Barry Roberts, died in 2006).
Whilst the media hubbub around the extraordinary story continues, what will probably get lost in the chaos is that Tanya Roberts is still in hospital and has been on a ventilator since Christmas. We wish her a full and speedy recovery.
